Worthy Ground Joins Regional Conversation on Storytelling & Recovery in Appalachia
Worthy Ground recently joined ReImagine Appalachia and the Central Appalachian Network for a regional conversation about the role of storytelling in disaster recovery. The discussion highlighted how local storytellers across Central Appalachia are working to document both the hardships and the hope that follow natural disasters, ensuring that the long-term recovery process is seen, understood, and valued. Through this dialogue, Worthy Ground emphasized the importance of continued investment in Appalachian communities and the power of storytelling to drive lasting change.
We are grateful to have shared this space with so many talented storytellers and artists who continue to uplift the voices of their communities through creativity and care. Their work reminds us that recovery is not just about rebuilding, but about reclaiming our narratives and our sense of place.
